Full-Time:
Mr. Jeff Collard: BA (Rel./Hist), B.Ed – Principal
I have been involved in Christian education since 1996. For most of those years, I have been a full-time teacher. In 2023-24, I will be working solely as the principal of DCSS. While I will miss the classroom, I am excited about this transition and the time it will give me to direct the school effectively.
Mr. Rob Reimer: Dip..Ed, Tech Ed Specialist, Bible College
Mr. Reimer is a certified Ontario teacher and has been working in a public secondary school since 2009. He is new to the DCSS team for 2023-24. He has a wealth of experience in the trades, as well as in music, drama and pastoral roles. At DCSS, he will be teaching many courses in Social Studies, Music, Math, Business and Bible.
Mr. Andrew Collard: BA (Rec and Sport Bus.)
Mr. ‘A’ Collard is an alumni of DCSS and a graduate of U of W. His experience with running his own business and various sports teams will be a great asset as he will head up our intramurals, sports and various activities. He will be teaching courses in Social Studies and Phys Ed at DCSS.
3/4 Time:
Mrs. Julianne Weeks: BA (Eng, Psych)
Mrs. Weeks has been involved in Christian education since 1996 at KCA and DCSS. She has been with our school since 2014 and has been passionately leading our students in various ways in that time. Mrs. Weeks will be teaching courses in English and Psychology as well as providing help with a few Nimbus courses.
1/2 Time:
Mrs. Natasa Eble: M.Sc (Elec. Eng), B.Sc (Comp. Eng)
Mrs. Eble joined DCSS this year and has provided a wealth of knowledge and passion to the team. She organized our math club this year which was a welcome addition to the school activities. She will be teaching gr. 9 Math, 11 Functions, 12 Functions and 12 Calculus.
Mrs. Karen Shoemaker-Lemmon: PhD (Psych), M.Sc, B.Sc, BA
Mrs. Shoemaker-Lemmon is new to the DCSS team beginning in September of 2023. We are excited for her to join us as she is well educated, and has significant experience in education including serving on the Board of Directors at Foundation Christian School. She will be teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Data Management.
Mrs. Lucille Bouwman: M.Th, B.Sc (Nursing)
Mrs. Bouwman will be returning for her third year with us at DCSS. Over the last two years, she has been working diligently at developing our science program. Next year, she will be teaching gr. 9 and 10 Science as well as gr. 11 Biology.
1/4 Time:
Mrs. Brenda Collard: BA (Eng)
Along with myself, Mrs. Collard is the only other teacher that has been with DCSS since its beginning in 2013. She has also been a teacher at KCA since 1996. She will be back next year to teach gr. 9 English and gr. 9 French.
Ms. Heidi Brannan: PCP (Paramedic)
Ms. Brannan joined us this year and has instantly made an impression in our Art program. She has been involved as an artist for many years now and you can check out her creativity at heidibrannan.ca She will be teaching gr. 9-12 Visual Arts next year.
Mrs. Judy Gadsby: BA (French)
Mrs. Gadsby has been heading up our senior French classes for the past few years. She is also a French teacher at Plattsville Christian school. Mrs. Gadsby will continue to bring her knowledge of the French language to our gr. 10-12 students next year.
